Rudi Stander
Rudi has more than 33 years’ experience in the banking and foreign exchange industry. He kicked off his career at Standard Bank of South Africa Limited and quickly rose through the ranks to join Trust Bank Limited (now ABSA bank) before moving on to Master Currency Foreign Exchange now (Bidvest Bank) where he served as regional manager in South Africa.
On immigrating to New Zealand Rudi joined the HIFX group of companies (now XE.COM) where he established himself as one of the most successful Business Development Managers over a four-year period.
Rudi’s extensive experience and expertise is invaluable to any clients who need assistance with matters involving foreign currency and exchange.
He prides himself in offering his global client solutions which are practical, swift and cost-effective to mitigate their currency exposure.
Rudi was personally responsible for the success of Rand Rescue, a Global company who assist South Africans with their Rand repatriations, before he joined Finselect
Patricia Jooste
As director of Fin Select, Patricia provides insight and oversight which is quite unparalleled in business. She is undaunted in her pursuit of ethical and fair practices and adherence to regulatory statutes while still offering the highest return on investment for customers engaging with her organisation.
Her business is one of highest return and most optimal results for all while maintaining all services strictly above board.
Patricia has over 20 years’ experience in financial markets and has had her hand in the establishment of multiple businesses specialising in Treasury Management.
She was one of the founders and Directors of Global Treasury Solutions (sold to Citadel)
She holds a diploma Business Administration (TUT) as well as RE1 & RE5 accreditation as required by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).
She founded Fin Select in 2015 after the birth of her son. When Patricia isn’t in consultation with clients and businesses, she spends her time developing and implementing electronic dealing systems that provide real-time transactional capabilities.

Wessel Watt, CA(SA) is a seasoned Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years of experience in financial management, taxation, and cross-border advisory.
He has guided individuals and businesses through complex financial landscapes, with a strong focus on tax planning, financial emigration, and international compliance.
Having lived in the USA for the past three years, Wessel brings a global perspective to his work, combining South African expertise with international insight.
His career spans auditing, advisory, and strategic business consulting, where he blends technical precision with practical, client-focused solutions.

She thrives in roles that require both structure and creativity, balancing operational excellence with a people-focused approach. Lawrence Jooste
More than 40 years experience in structured products has fine-tuned Lawrence’s knack for strategy, risk assessment and product innovation – he draws on both his intuited grasp of the financial sector as well as various analytical resources to address each client’s USPs and mandates while simultaneously ensuring a competitive edge and optimal returns or outcomes.
As the epitome of currency risk management, Lawrence draws on experience throughout his extensive career which spans currency trading for numerous banks and and each customer’s Matric, RE1 & RE 5, Registered Persons Exams.
With over 40 years of experience in structured products Lawrence is the epitome of currency risk management. From currency trading at various banks to setting up a Taquanta treasury for Nedbank and founding Global Treasury Solutions (sold to Citadel in 2012) – such ubiquitous experience culminated in the founding of Finselect and places him at the forefront of financial innovation for South African and offshore clients alike.
